Objective : Griha Pravesh of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) Beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh

PM Narendra Modi has joined and witness collective e Griha Pravesh of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh. Around 1.75 lakh houses were handed over to the PMAY-G beneficiaries on 12 September 2020 in MP state via video conferencing. With this Griha Pravesham event, the total number of houses in MP state under PMAY gramin stands at 17 lakh out of the total number of 30 lakh houses to be built.

MP CM mentioned that the PM Modi’s speech at PMAY-G Griha Pravesh Karyakram is heard in 16,440 gram panchayats and 26,548 villages. For this Griha Pravesham event under PM Awas Yojana Gramin in MP, around 1,24,92,394 people had made pre-registration.

Prime Minister Modi is handing over keys to 1 lakh 75 thousand families for the houses built under PMAY-G in 12,000 villages.


Griha Pravesh of PMAY Gramin Beneficiaries in MP

PM Modi has participated in Griha Pravesh event to hand over 1.75 lakh houses to PM Awas Yojana Gramin beneficiaries in MP. As the Navratra are approaching, PM is giving completely built houses to people build under PMAY-G scheme. “Housing For All by 2022” is a flagship scheme of the Modi Govt. to provide own roof to each and every poor people in the country. All the houses which have been handed over to people are build during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic outbreak.

A new houses brings with it, new dreams and new enthusiasm in the family to work to achieve those dreams. All the houses in which e-Gruhapravesh is taking place in rural areas seems to be of excellent quality. This is only possible because there are no middlemen involved. Also the money sent by the central government is directly reaching the poor people which is a major factor in realizing this dream.

Previously, only the politicians were able to build fancy homes but now the discourse has been changed to poor people getting their own homes. Govt. is consistently working towards providing basic facilities like access to house, electricity, clean drinking water, clean cooking fuel etc.

Grant for PMAY-G Beneficiaries in MP

Under PMAY-G, each beneficiary is given 100% grant of Rs. 1.20 lakh with a sharing ratio of 60:40 between Centre and State. Funds for all these houses constructed under PMAY-G are given by way of 4 installments directly into the bank account of the beneficiary after verification of various stages of construction through Geotagged photographs. The scheme envisages to construct 2.95 crore houses by the year 2022.           

In addition to the unit assistance, the beneficiaries are provided support of unskilled labour wages for 90/95 person days under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and assistance of Rs. 12,000 for construction of toilets through Swachh Bharat Mission- Gramin, MGNREGS or any other dedicated source of funding.

Convergence with other Govt. Schemes

The scheme has provisions for convergence with other schemes of Government of India and State/UTs for providing LPG connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme, electricity connection, access to safe drinking water under Jal Jeevan Mission, etc. Madhya Pradesh Government, through its “Samridh Paryavas Abhiyaan”, has dovetailed 17 other schemes like social security, pension scheme, ration card, Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana, National Rural Livelihood Mission, etc to provide additional benefits.
